Music
I chose to use the Happy Birthday song with a music box sound as background music to show the fairy tale atmosphere of the rabbit family and that the rabbit family is just the little girl's imagination. At the end, when the little girl's parents are arguing, the Happy Birthday song is played again to contrast with the beginning of the animation, setting a sad mood and drawing the audience's sympathy.
I made the background music in GarageBand. I referenced the score of a 30-note music box, but its tempo was too fast in the video so I made my own version that suited my animation.

According to Philips' suggestion, I changed the Happy Birthday song at the end to a piano version to differentiate it from the first part.

Sound effect
I added sounds of arguing and smashing things to the final part of the animation, such as glass breaking, tapping on the table, objects falling and metal hitting. I realised that the sounds in the first part of the animation were a little flat, so I will also add some sound effects to it such as the sound of a door opening, pencil drawing on paper, footsteps, etc.

As the plot of the animation changed, I added more sound effects to match the content of the animation.
Based on Sharon's feedback, I changed the sound of the parents arguing to a more muffled voice to make it understandable to anyone speaking any language.
