Family Discord

  • Family discord is a major cause of character defects and mental illness in children.

  • Children with family discord can differ from children in harmonious families in emotion management, cognitive functioning and how they deal with relationships (Davies et al., 2013).

  • The Crude Divorce Rate in China has been rising over the past five years, from 2.67‰ in 2014 to 3.36‰ in 2019 (National Bureau of Statistics of China, no date). The data suggests that more and more children are suffering from parental discord.
